Sterling silver sweet-meat basket, having a round tapering hand-pierced body, applied cast floral border, hinged swing handle, sitting on four cast foliate feet, and with original blue-glass liner. Made by the Barker Brothers of Birmingham in 1929. Height inc. handle 15 cms (6 inches), diameter at lip 8.5 cms (3.3 inches). Weight approx. 135g (4.4 troy ounces).
