Antique Victorian sterling silver calling card case, having a rectangular body with hand-engraved floral decoration, a vacant central cartouch, and a side-hinged lid. Made in Birmingham in 1838. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver card case are length 10 cms (4 inches), width 7 cms (2.75 inches), and it weighs approx. 61g (2 troy ounces). Please note that this card case has a push button mechanism that is not working, but it is not required to make the lid secure.
