Antique Georgian sterling silver chamberstick, having an oval base, handle with oval thumb-piece, removable dunce-cap extinguisher, removable bobeche, and with applied gadroon borders. Made by John Emes of London in 1802. Length 15 cms (6 inches), width 13 cms (5 inches), height 11 cms (4.25 inches). Total weight approx. 275g (8.9 troy ounces). |
