Antique Edwardian sterling silver and crystal sugar caster, having a hand-chased and pierced lift-off lid with floral decoration, a plain silver rim, and a crystal hand-cut hobnail pattern body. Made by Henry Wilkinson of Sheffield in 1906. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver and crystal sugar caster are height 13 cms (5 inches), and diameter of the base is 6.5 cms (2.5 inches).

Antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster, having a round straight-sided body with hand-pierced decoration, a blue-glass liner, and a bayonet-fit hand-pierced pull-off lid with a cast knurl finial. Made by the Haseler Brothers of London in 1905. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver sugar caster are height 17 cms (6.75 inches), diameter 5 cms (2 inches), and it weighs approx. 123g (4 troy ounces).

Antique Victorian sterling silver unusual sugar caster in the shape of a Viking horn, having a loop handle, seal-face terminal, removable slip-off hand-pierced lid, and sitting on two cast scroll feet. Made by Henry Matthews of Chester in 1899. Height 11.5 cms (4.5 inches), length 10 cms (4 inches). Weight approx. 157g (5 troy ounces).

Sterling silver large sugar caster in a George II style, having a plain baluster body, pull-off hand-pierced lid with flame finial, all sitting on a pedestal foot. Made by Henry Atkins of Sheffield in 1937. Height 19 cms (7.5 inches), width 7 cms (2.75 inches). Weight approx. 212g (6.8 troy ounces).

Antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster, having a panelled hexagonal baluster body, a pull-off hand-pierced lid with cast finial, and sitting on a pedestal foot. Made by Thomas Barnard of London in 1906. Height 16.5 cms (6.5 inches). Weight approx. 116g (3.7 troy ounces).

Antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster, having a plain round baluster body, a hand-pierced lid with bayonet fit and cast finial, and sitting on a pedestal foot. Made by William Hutton and Sons of Sheffield in 1909. Height 22 cms (8.5 inches), diameter of belly 7.5 cms (3 inches). Weight approx. 342g (11 troy ounces).

Antique Georgian sterling silver pair of sugar casters, having round baluster shape hand-chased bodies with floral decoration, with pierced pull-off lids and cast finials, all sitting on matching pedestal feet. Made by Samuel Taylor of London in 1750. The dimensions of these fine hand-made silver sugar casters are height 14 cms (5.5 inches), diameter of body 8 cms (3 inches), and they weigh a total of approx. 460g (14.8 troy ounces). Please note that they are both crested and that the lids are not hallmarked. These may have originally been made as a pair of tea caddies with lids pierced at a later date.
