A very pretty Antique Victorian Silver Plated folding biscuit box, having an oval barrel-shaped body with beautiful hand-engraved floral and bird decoration, with straight sides and applied gadroon borders, sitting in a cast floral style mechanical frame with carrying handle, all sitting on four stepped feet, and with original gold-gilt interior with hand-pierced dividers. Made in ca. 1880. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver-plated folding biscuit box are height 25.5 cms (10 inches), length fully opened 30.5 cms (12 inches), and width 20 cms (8 inches).
