A very pretty Antique Victorian Sterling Silver christening mug, having a round bellied body with hand-chased floral and scroll-work decoration surrounding a vacant front cartouche, a cast scroll side-handle, a gold-gilt interior, and all sitting on four cast foliate feet. This beautiful antique silver christening mug was made by Martin Hall and Co., of Sheffield in 1856. The dimensions of this fine hand-made antique silver christening mug are height 11.5 cms (4.5 inches), diameter at lip 8 cms (3 inches), and it weighs approx. 163g (5.3 troy ounces).
