A very handsome Antique Sterling Silver altar chalice and cover, in a post-Reformation communion cup style, having a plain round tapering cup with a top band of floral hand-engraved decoration, a lift-off lid with flat finial, all sitting on a round stepped pedestal foot with a middle baluster. This beautiful silver chalice cup and cover were made by Herbert and Frank Barker of Chester in 1915. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver communion cup and cover are height 21 cms (8.25 inches), diameter 9 cms (3.5 inches), and with a total weight of approx. 343g (11 troy ounces).
