A very handsome Sterling Silver altar chalice and paten, having a round hand-hammered tapering cup with a gold-gilt interior, a middle baluster with an applied rope-twist band, and a spreading hexagonal pedestal foot with applied double rope-twist borders, and the paten with matching hand-hammered decoration. This beautiful silver chalice and paten was made by Hurst, Franklin and Co. Ltd., of London in 1959 (chalice) and 1965 (paten). The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver chalice and paten are height 19.5 cms (7.75 inches), width at base 14 cms (5.5 inches), diameter of paten 15 cms (6 inches), and it weighs approx. 560g (18 troy ounces).
