A large and very pretty Antique Sterling Silver and Mother-of-Pearl Anointing or Baptismal holy water Shell, having a silver handle pinned to a shell scoop, with a wonderfully hand-engraved Christoform style handle, and comes with a dark blue velvet-lined wooden presentation box. This beautiful baptism or anointing shell was made by J. Wippell and Co. Ltd., of London in 1921. The dimensions of this fine hand-made Baptism or Anointing Shell are length 18 cms (7 inches), and width 13 cms (5 inches). Please note that there is a small area of damage to the mother-of-pearl on the reverse side.
