A large and very handsome Antique Scottish Sterling Silver wine ewer, William IV having a bellied body with hand-chased floral decoration, an insulated scroll handle with anthemion thumb-piece, a hinge lid with a cast feature floral finial, a spout with an applied cast floral border, and all sitting on a plain round pedestal foot. This beautiful antique silver wine ewer was made by Leon d Urquart of Edinburgh in 1837. The dimensions of this fine hand-made silver ewer are height 30 cms (12 inches), length 20 cms (8 inches), and it weighs approx. 1,116g (36 troy ounces).
